Picturing Madoc

Check it out. We stumbled across this picture of Madoc, the legendary Welsh explorer, in a historical article from just over a year ago published in Southern Memories and Updates.

If you've read Anna Lee Waldo's Watch the Face of the Sky, you probably have your own mental picture of the dashing Druid. How close do they compare?

For one thing, all this fellow's armor looks like it would get a mite rusty on the high seas. But I suspect the ancients knew better than I do about these things.
