Before the book finds a binding, it's just a whole bunch of words on a computer screen tossed aimlessly between inboxes. Well, not so aimlessly. There is a purpose for every revision. Each time it gets to rest because a particular process has been completed, we can breathe a sigh of relief, check off a mental box in the to-do list, and then get filled back up again with a renewed eagerness for the finished product soon to come. Today is one of those days of pausing and recharging. The manuscript for Teresa Burrell's next book is ready for the designers. It just needs formatting, one last read-through, and it's ready for the printer!
You don't have to wait to get a taste of her writing, though. She'll be signing for her first book, The Advocate, at the Barnes and Noble in Manhattan Beach next week. It's a great opportunity to stop by and talk face to face about the upcoming book, the writing process, or any other questions you might have. More sightings and signings to come!
